I am a visual artist and graphic designer with over two decades of experience at the intersection of high-end dark fashion, brand architecture, and fine art.
Long before focusing on large-scale hyper-realism, I played a pivotal role behind the scenes of the global alternative and avant-garde fashion movement. From building foundational brand identities from the ground up to crafting graphic assets and refining visual concepts, I have had the privilege of collaborating with industry-defining labels and designers—including Religion Clothing, Gelareh Designs, Jan Hilmer, House of Malakai, and Majesty Black.
Today, I channel this extensive mastery of structure, lighting, and dark aesthetics into large-scale charcoal and graphite art. Using raw charcoal powder and precision pencils, my drawings push the boundaries of depth and realism—transforming decades of design heritage into hauntingly detailed artwork.
An Unscripted Beginning (Bali Story)
“My journey into the global dark fashion scene began with an unscripted twist of fate in Bali. Joshua David, the founder of Majesty Black, was searching for a rental house on the island. On one of the bare walls left behind by the previous tenant, a simple scribble read: Graphic Designer: Friezchka followed by my phone number. That unexpected phone call turned into the genesis of a long-standing collaboration, shaping the brand’s early visual identity from the ground up and opening doors to a global network of avant-garde creators.”
